…for the moment. While my darling husband is off recording music with his band, Language of Termites, in Colorado, I’m hanging out with my family in the Philadelphia area.
I know what you’re thinking, and don’t worry, Mamajan is being well cared for by a team of friends.
In the meantime, I’ve been tinkering around with the blog (if you haven’t noticed) as well as planning some new weekly features and biding my time to announce some big news here (if I know you in real life then you already know what it’s about).
Otherwise, I’m diligently catching up on eating all of the foods unavailable to me in Kyrgyzstan. Thai food? Check. Kale smoothie? Check. Avocado and artichoke? Check and check. The only thing left is Ethiopian food.
I’m also carefully documenting some authentic scenes of Americana down at the New Jersey shore and in center city Philadelphia, but it seems that I forgot my camera card reader in Bishkek, so photos are delayed for a bit.
Bishkek posts will resume soon!
