I’m starting an experiment with displaying advertisements in the sidebar of Ivory Pomegranate. I’m very selective about what sort of companies or websites I’d accept to advertise, ensuring that it is in line with my readership and fits my overall blogging atmosphere.

As of February 2013, Ivory Pomegranate attracts over 3,000 page views and nearly 2,000 unique visitors each month, in addition to over 100 subscribers on Google Reader and nearly 600 followers on Twitter. Ivory Pomegranate is recognized as one of the most popular expat blogs on Kyrgyzstan and serves as a useful resource for people planning to visit and/or move to Central Asia. The blog typically covers a wide range of topics related to travel, expat life, and music, culture, and food in Central Asia.
