Farrell and I woke up at 7am this morning.
On a Sunday. Seven AM. What’s wrong with us!?
Now it’s just after 12pm and I feel like I’ve accomplished a trillion things already, including a long and lazy breakfast, some work on my wedding flowers, shipping off the wedding invitations, and a stroll to the Dupont Circle Farmers Market.
We bought crabs from an adorable old man named Buster.
I can’t resist taking pictures of pretty flowers (but at $2 each, I could resist buying them).
I’ve never had kohlrabi, but we didn’t bring tons of cash with us, so my first kohlrabi experience will wait (and a whole, organic, local, amazing-looking rabbit held higher priority).
Though, we bought plenty of other greens, as well as the most adorable bitty strawberries for a future post.
A giant pan of paella, you say?
I’m telling you, I’m such a sucker for pretty flowers.
I want a DC townhouse so bad! It’s a dream, hopefully a realistic one. I’d probably paint mine something sunny and bright like this one, too.
Or maybe something more fun and different like this one. I’ve walked past this house many times and this is the first time I’ve had my camera with me. On such a hot and sunny day like today, it made me thirsty to stare at this house through my viewfinder, concentrating and focusing so hard on it. Damn you, watermelon house!
