I have to admit that I have lost considerable blogging motivation in the past couple weeks between finishing up my photography class (agonizing the grading process), attending various lectures and workshops, stalking the editors of neweurasia.net, the absolute madness of manually entering 100+ data points from 1200 surveys, and constantly roaming Bishkek for cafes with terraces to enjoy the gorgeous weather that has finally descended on this fair capital.
But here I am for a quick post about Farrell’s and my television debut on House Hunters International. A crew is flying out to Bishkek near the end of May, then sending me back to DC for TEN DAYS (!) so we can spend one day shooting my “backstory”.
May 26 to June 6, a short break from Bishkek life to reacquaint myself with America (and load up on new clothes and creature comforts).
Dear DC friends: Does anybody have a couch I can crash on? Dear Philly friends: I’m predicting a weekend visit there as well.
(A few pics of the kitten enjoying the new apartment, to debut on the show, with such amenities as a real bed (!) and glittery wallpaper of a much less noticeable and gaudy variety than our previous place.)
