Wooo! Football! (Oh. I’m not actually a fan of sports. Nevermind.) A friend invited me and Farrell to a World Cup qualifying game between the Kyrgyz and Uzbek national teams. I considered that there was at least a moderate potential for rioting, so I grabbed my camera and went along. The attitude of the group …

I have too many photos from my three-week internship in Dubai to only share one from each day. Now that I’m back in Bishkek and my life is back to being slightly less exciting, I figured I would post some particularly interesting occurrences. So, unlike the day-to-day updates I imagined, here’s a quick wrap-up of the past few days. Be sure to check my …
Dubai: Day 2
Back out to the desert in flashy dresses. Less camel, more wind (more sand in my camera, eyes, etc). The models weren’t too happy with the wind. Their lesson was to try to make a cowboy hat and sunglasses look convincing. (hmm… successful?)
Dubai: Day 1
Baaah, okay. All it took was one snarky comment from my father (who’s biking across America at the moment, go check out his blog!) and I’ve had to do some growing up and re-evaluating of my current situation. I’m in Dubai, for free, learning photography. Yes, the living situation is sort of f***ed up (see …
